Located less than 90 minutes north of Auckland's CBD, our Mangawhai course has consistently been regarded as one of the best in New Zealand. In 2015 Mangawhai was ranked 7th among the top courses in New Zealand by a panel of NZPGA Professionals, Golf Travel operators and club golfers. Many of our visitors, local and international, consider it more than deserves this ranking!
Mangawhai was originally conceived in 1979 by Harry Dale, a designer of over 60 courses. His legacy is a supremely enjoyable experience presented on terrain created by Nature specifically for golf: an ever-varying mixture of wide and narrow fairways; undulating greens of exceptional speed and true roll; native flora; spectacular views of coast and countryside; natural wetlands that are home to a wide range of bird life.
Developed on a sandy base, the course shrugs off even the worst of weather. Even through the wettest winters, excellent drainage ensures playability.

The Club has a well-equipped Golf Shop offering a wide range of hire and new equipment. A fleet of Yamaha electric carts is available for hire.
The Clubhouse sits above the course providing a spectacular outlook along with excellent Bar & Café facilities.
